Status: OPEN
Opened: 2008-07-15 16:34 +0200
Type: unscheduled
Scope: AMS-IX
Start: 2008-07-15 16:34 +0200
DESCRIPTION:
We are currently experiencing problems on the AMS-IX platform. We believe one of the backbone links causes packet loss for certain customers.
DETAILS:
We have no detailed explanation available yet. We will update
this ticket as we investigate.
ACTIONS:
The AMS-IX NOC is investigating.
We are going to debug this issue further tonight in an emergency maintenance window. Therefor we will have to swap to the backup topology so we can perform further tests without affecting the members connections. The swap will be performed at 2008-07-16 00:00 +0200.
[UPDATE 2008-07-15 17:04 +0200]
The faulty part (1 blade out of 4) of the suspected backbone link have been turned off and members report their issues solved. The traffic distribution on 2 out of 4 links on this blade (wrt outgoing traffic) was far off and we disabled the blade. The aggregated link now works on 12 * 10GE ports.
We keep investigating the cause of this issue.
